'Positive results' for Clinton visit

Chinese leaders and Chinese media have given US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "a glowing review" for her recent trip to Beijing, according to the Associated Press. "Through the visit, the two countries have built up mutual understanding...which will help the bilateral relations develop in a sound and stable manner in a new era," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said. To someone living in Beijing, it seems fair to call her a superstar: just mention the words xīlālǐ or 希拉里 -- the transliteration of Hillary -- to anyone on the street or in a small restaurant and you've got a conversation on your hands. It's hard to overstate how respected she is by people in Beijing.
