New Zealand PM speaks at Wudaokou school

New Zealand Prime Minister John Key spoke earlier today at Beijing University and later met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao in Beijing's Great Hall of the People, according to Chinese and New Zealand media. The leaders of the two countries vowed to tighten bilateral ties and work together to deal with the international financial crisis, Xinhua also reports. In his remarks, the New Zealand PM said he was proud his country was the first developed Western nation to sign a free trade agreement with China after it joined the World Trade Organization in 2001; Premier Wen Jiabao said Sino-New Zealand relations are "at its best in history."
