Porsche is set to debut its 2011 Panamera and Panamera 4 models at the Beijing Auto Show on April 23, car enthusiast magazine Nitrobahn reports. Described by some as a "lite" version of Porsche's larger car models, the Panamera features a 3.6-liter V6 engine with direct fuel injection that outputs 220 kW/296 bhp with a torque of 295 lb-ft -- and its pick-up to 60 mph in 6 seconds is described by enthusiasts as "not outstanding but pretty decent." The car also features the company's advanced PorscheDoppelkupplungsgetriebe dual clutch gearbox and a six-speed manual. The 2011 Porsche Panamera is scheduled to hit markets in the US and Europe in late spring this year, but it is not clear when it may be available in China. At a retail price of $74,400 USD, the car will likely only be seen in Beijing's major business districts, where it is not unusual to spot a shiny Ferrari cruising on a nice day. The Beijing Auto Show, which takes place annually at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in the city's northwestern Shunyi district, has been a major event in Beijing's high-end automobile culture since it first debuted in 1990 under the name Auto China.
